What Are This Weekend's Scripture Readings?

Below is the listing of the scripture readings being used at our upcoming weekend services. You can use this list to look up those scriptures ahead of time and reflect on them prior to worship. (Scripture with an asterisk * is the basis for that week's sermon.)

"The Amazing Race" - The book of Acts reads like an action-packed, reality-adventure series—except this isn’t globe-trotting teams competing for a $1 million prize. These were people sent by the Holy Spirit to spread the good news of the love of Jesus! Paul and his companions endured hardship, danger, and conflict, yet continued on so others—indeed, the whole world!—would hear about Jesus. When we experience the Spirit’s calling, we too find ourselves in the Amazing Race.

• May 25-26: ”Grueling Laps– The 2nd Journey” (Acts 15:36-41; 2 Cor. 12:7-10; John 16:30-33)
• June 1-2: “Striving Together–The 3rd Journey” (Acts 20:1-6; Ecclesiastes 4:9-12; Mark 6:7-13)
• June 8-9: “The Finish Line” (Joshua 24:14-18; 2 Timothy 4:1-8; Acts 28:23-31)
