Experience the power of a simple gift! In October and November, CLC disciples pack shoeboxes full of goodies for Operation Christmas Child that will be sent to children in other countries. These shoeboxes are often the only gifts that these children receive. Through these gift boxes, you can share the love of Jesus Christ with a child!

Our Operation Christmas Child "store" will be open for families, small groups, and individuals, Sunday evenings, October 2, 9, 16, and November 6 & 13, from 5:50-7:00 p.m. Want to come another time? Email Cathy Klemm or call 814-4252 to arrange a shopping time. (You can also pack your own box at home and bring it in. Just wrap the box first – box and lid separate – then add the items.) Please consider helping us in this worthwhile cause to give many children the opportunity to learn about God's love!

How can you help?

• Be a shoebox wrapper. Go to room 101A and pick up a case (or two) of shoeboxes, along with wrapping paper. Take them home, and when you're done, drop them off to the same room.
• Get your family or a group together and schedule a time to pack boxes at church.
• Please consider giving a donation to cover the costs of shipping the filled shoeboxes. (Each box costs the Samaritan's Purse organization $7 to ship.)
• Donate small items: Especially needed are erasers, kids' scissors, markers, Matchbox cars (especially needed), yo-yos, jump ropes, Slinkys, toothpaste, toothbrushes, mild bar soaps, individually wrapped hard candy.
