Friendship Bible Study
Tuesday evenings (September through May) at 7:00 p.m. at CLC

Friendship Bible Study will help you build a one-on-one Christian relationship with a student who has developmental disabilites. This relationship will provide a conduit to integrate your new friend into your Christian community, giving them a chance to share their gifts with the Body of Christ.

Friendship Saturday
First and Third Saturday of every month (September-May)

Friendship Saturday is a combination between Friendship Bible Study and SonRise Camps. Congregations provide a full day of worship, prayer, singing, and day camp type activities. This program is designed to offer a full-day of respite for the families who care for their adult sons and daughters in their homes that are mentally impaired.

SonRise Camps

SonRise Camps are 5-day summer Bible camp experiences for adults who have a developmental disabilitiy. These camps are unique because they match each camper in a one-on-one Christian relationship with a volunteer companion. These companions range in age from 14 through retirement age. Many campers and companions return to SonRise every summer. Through recreation and Bible study, the lives of all that attend are changed.

SonRise Weekend Retreats

These are similar to the summer SonRise Camps, but occur during different weekends in the fall and summer. These weekend retreats take place from Friday evening through Sunday at noon.
