January 8th begins our Winter Quarter of Adult Bible studies. In John 1 we learn that Jesus is the Word of God who became flesh. Come and study the Word of God and be drawn closer to Jesus as you learn to live your life as HIS disicple.
At Carmel Lutheran there are 10 different classes on Sundays from 9:30-10:25 a.m. We also offer 4 classes on Saturday evening, from 6:15-7:00 p.m.
With the exception of "Discover Carmel Lutheran" (which is a class series) you are invited to jump into a Bible class at ANY time!
Discover Carmel Lutheran – Are you interested in learning more about Carmel Lutheran Church, leading up to full participation here? Discover Carmel Lutheran (DCL) is a 10-week, discussion-oriented class that shares our Lutheran understanding of the Christian faith. Because we are committed to helping everyone grow in his or her relationship with the Lord, this course is a "first step" orientation series of lessons for all those interested in becoming part of the ministry here at Carmel Lutheran. Room 102.
Pastors' Class: Heroes of the Bible – Come and get to know various characters of the Bible and how God worked in and through them. You will also discover how God can work in and through you. (Room: Gym)
Men of 123: We are currently studying James and will move on to 1 Samuel where we will discover how to be men of God by observing men of God in the Bible. (Room: 123; Leader: Gabe Green)
Value-Packed Parenting – There are lots of "values" bombarding our kids today that are not all healthy or Christian. Join this video-based class with nationally known parenting expert and humorous speaker, Dr. Kevin Lehman, as he helps us direct our kids as we instill Christian values in them. A 30 minute video presentation is followed by group discussion. (Room: 101A, Leader Brandie Bohney)
God's Word for Today: Acts (Part 2) – Learn how Jesus' work continued through His Apostles, inlcluding Paul on his missionary jorneys, and through His church. Wherever you are in your discipleship journey, come join us as we resume classic roundtable discussion. (Room: 101B; Leader: Tom Gambrel)
In the Word – 1 Thessalonians - Join us as we explore and learn from St. Paul's instruction to the individual churches and surrounding regions. Discover how to apply that insturction to your life today. (Room: 127; Various Leaders)
The Gospel of Matthew – Thy Kingdom Come - Matthew is described by Martin H. Franzmann as "...the most powerful book ever written." It was the most widely read and quoted book in the early church. Come and view "The Visual Bible: Matthew", a video presentation of the NIV translation. (Room: 100; Leader: Pastor Kuznik)
The Faith, Given Once for All – This class will examine the historical central truths that unite all of the Christian faith, including what Christians believe, why they believe it, and why it matters. (Room: The new Haase Prayer Chapel; Leaders: Bill Black and Mike Strong)
Managing Finances God's Way – In a reprise of this popular and timeless course, a seasoned financial professional will guide you through a Bible-centered approach to stewardship and management of personal finances. (Room: Choir Room; Leader: Bryan Klemm)
Parents and 2's – 2 year olds are not too young to learn about their Savior! Come and learn along with your 2 year old the basics of faith. Parents will also be trained in how to reinforce these truths at home. (Room: 128; Leader: Donna Bobb)
If you like to worship on Saturday we have expanded the experience to include a meal at 5:45 p.m. and Children's and Adult Bible classes from 6:15-7:00 p.m. Here are the adult classes offered.

Fellowship Group Discussion – Plan to have your fellowship group (formerly small group) meet at church on Saturday nights for worship, a meal together, and Bible study. You can choose your own study or you can use one that we will provide that will be application questions based on the Bible lessons and sermon from the worship service you just attended. Your children will be well cared for in the education childrens program.
