Guatemala Away Team

Our CLC Mission Away Team has returned from Guatemala. The team left on Thursday, February 18, 2010 and returned home on Saturday, February 27, 2010. They thank you for your many prayers as they worked for the Lord!
The team is worked in El Maguey, Zacapa as they continued building houses for the most needy. These are individuals and families that do not qualify for Habitate for Humanity's homes because of income that is deemed too inconsistent to help contribute toward the cost of a house. The Elsa Molina family and the Orlinda Ardon family were the recipients of the new homes built (see before photos of families and their homes below).
In addition, our team poured a sidewalk at the local Lutheran Church, conducted afternoon VBS, distributed Spanish Bibles, taught hygiene to local families, and taught English as a second language to some of the local church leaders.
