Experience the power of a simple gift! In October and November, CLC disciples will be packing shoe boxes full of goodies for Operation Christmas Child that will be sent to children in other countries. These shoe boxes are often the only gifts that these children receive. Through these gift boxes, you can share the love of Jesus Christ with a child!

We are in need of many small gift items for this venture. Collection boxes are now located near the Sanctuary and Worship Center, and also outside the Gym, by door #2. Here are some ideas to consider. Think small!

• School supplies: Especially needed - pencils, sharpeners, erasers, pens, crayons, & markers. Also, stamps and ink pad sets, coloring/picture books, etc.
• Toys: Matchbox cars (especially needed), small dolls & stuffed animals, kazoos, yo-yos, jump ropes, Slinky, balls, playing cards, etc. New kids meal toys are great!
• Hygiene items: Toothbrushes, trial-size toothpaste, mild bar soaps (regular & hotel-size), brushes, combs, hair clips, pony tail holders, washcloths, etc.
• Clothing & jewelry: T-shirts, socks, & underwear (kid sizes 4-16), ball caps, sunglasses, watches, costume jewelry, etc.
• Candy: Individually wrapped hard candy, lollipops, mints, gum, Skittles, Nerds, etc.
• Empty shoe boxes with lids in good condition (approx. 6-10 inches wide
• Rolls of Christmas wrapping paper
• Money: Please consider giving a donation as well to cover the costs of shipping the filled shoe boxes. (Each box costs $7 to ship.)
• DO NOT INCLUDE: Used/damaged items, war-related toys (guns, knives, military figures), chocolate or food, out-of-date candy, liquids or lotions, mirrors, medications/vitamins, breakable items, aerosol cans.
• You can also wrap & pack your own box and bring it to church.

• "Store" clerks (when "store" is open, to assist those packing boxes)
• Tear down (mid-November)
