Healing Prayer Service
Our healing prayer services are meant to be communal as well as individual. They are not a testing of faith in God, but they are a response to God's Word and promises that He hears and answers our prayers. It is the passing on of the gifts of the Holy Spirit that we have received. Miracles are neither denied nor are they expected but we ask for God's help to bear physical, emotional, spiritual or mental illnesses and then yield ourselves to His mercy and will.
The symbols used in our healing prayer services include anointing with oil—a very ancient symbol of the lifting up of prayers for healing, and the laying on of hands—symbolizing both the passing on of the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the concern for the individual.
Our healing prayer services are offered in the sanctuary on the first Saturday evening of each month following our 5:00 p.m. worship service and on the first Sunday of each month following our 10:45 a.m. worship service.
