ADULT EDUCATION
Summer 2008

We always need to be transformed by God’s Word, no matter how old we are. We continue to need guidance from God so that we can live in the world without being overcome by the world. Through the year we have a wealth of opportunities on Sunday mornings, weekday evenings, weekday mornings, and Saturdays. The schedule of classes are as follows:

Upcoming June Bible Studies
SUNDAY MORNING: 9:30 - 10:20 AM

Join us on Sunday mornings (9:30-10:20 a.m.) for Bible class! We offer various Sunday morning Adult Bible Classes from which you can choose. Classes range in size and also in style—from presentation, to group study, to video-guided, to discussion.

Want to become a disciple (member) of CLC?

“Discover Carmel Lutheran” is a class that teaches the basics of the Christian faith and how those principles apply to being a follower of Jesus in today’s world. It also give information about our church, leading up to full participation at Carmel Lutheran. The next 10-week class series begins Sunday, June 22, at 9:30 a.m. (during the Education Hour). Call the church office at 814-4252 for more information or to register. For more information about the "Discover CLC" class, click here.

Small Group Formation class

There will be two opportunities this summer to investigate CLC small groups – what they are, why we have them, and how they form. On June 22 and August 17 we will be teaching about small groups for all those interested. These classes will be held during the Bible study hour (9:30-10:25 a.m.) in room 100A. If you’ve been considering getting involved in small group ministry, this is your chance to take a serious look at what’s involved. If you know others who are also interested, come as a group. Questions? Contact Frank McMurry (814-4256, ext. 216; fmcmurry@carmellutheran.org). For more information about Small Groups at Carmel Lutheran, click here.

Helping youth stay connected to Christ

Did you know that up to 70% of young Christians walk away from their faith during their college years? In the transition from youth to adulthood it is important to stay connected to Christ and other believers. Come to Senior High Bible Class on Sunday, June 29, at 9:30 am (upstairs in the Youth Center) and hear the many ways young disciples have found to hold onto their most valuable treasure—their faith! Senior High youth, college age young adults, and parents of high school youth are all invited.

More Sunday Morning Bible studies will take place this summer.
Please check back in June for an updated listing.
