Employment Ministry

We provide a support ministry for those who are unemployed or underemployed to assist them in their job searches.  There are three main components of this ministry:

• Spiritual Support for job searchers and their families.
• Education about the job search process (Interviewing, resumes, resources, etc.).
• Networking with CLC members and others for contact referrals. Click on the Christian Employment Ministry to go our networking website.
  

Monday Evening Mentoring Club

Following a 15 minute presentation we will be doing one on one mentoring.  With the one on one mentoring will be reviewing cover letters, resumes, interviewing, networking and spiritual support.  The Monday Evening Mentoring Club meets every 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month in Room 100 B  from 7:00 to 8:30 pm.  For additional information, visit the CLC Employment Ministry website.

Seminar - Best Practices in a Job Search

On Saturday February 27 Carmel Lutheran Church will be hosting a Christian Employment Seminar.  This seminar titled “Best Practices in a Job Search” is being presented by Jack Robertson and addresses the best ways to conduct a search. 

Jack brings a diverse and rich background and experience of over 30 years in Career Management.  He served as Managing Principal for Central and Northeast Indiana for Right Management as well as an executive coach to senior managers in central Indiana.  Prior to Right Management, Jack has over 25 years of diverse line experience in the areas of General Management, Marketing, Operations, Human Resource Management, Training and Career Development.  Currently Jack is a Senior Consultant to executives in transition and an Executive Coach at Right Management. 

We welcome inquiries from both those who are seeking jobs as well as those who are seeking employees to fill vacant positions.
